Audio Contest FAQ

Q: Do you accept previously published or previously aired pieces?

A: Yes, previously published works are fine as are works that have been aired elsewhere, so long as you retain the rights to your work.

Q: Can I submit a collaborative work (one that I wrote and someone else recorded or that I recorded and someone else wrote)?

A: Yes, as long as you have permission from your collaborator, and as long as you credit your collaborator for his/her contribution.

Q: Can my poetry entry be made up of several poems?

A: Yes, you may submit one long poem or several shorter poems, so long as the total time does not exceed 15 minutes.

Q: When will you announce the winners?

A: Winners should be announced by late April.

Q: I am having trouble filling out the online entry form. What should I do?

A: We have had some technical difficulties with the “length” field of the online form. If this field or another field is giving you trouble, just fill out the parts of the form that you’re able to and send us the rest of the info in the body of your email.

A: Previous runners-up are able to enter the contest again. However, past winners (first place) are no longer eligible.

Is the competition open to items that aired in 2013 or only in 2012?
    Thank you!

Great photo post! You must feel really refreshed after that vacation. I once camped next to a farm too. It stormed all throughout the night and you could hear a cow mooing once ever couple of minuets. That poor cow. It was a huge field and I never saw it the whole weekend.
