Citizen Jane Film Festival Interview – Erica Fae
This week The Missouri Review offers an interview with director and actor Erica Fae. We interviewed her after her film, To Keep the Light, showed at the Citizen Jane Film Festival in November.
The movie began after Erica began researching female lighthouse keepers and the role they have played when male family members became too sick to maintain the lighthouse. To Keep the Light is an examination of the perseverance and lack of recognition that women often receive. The film follows Abbie, the wife of a lighthouse keeper, as she fights to maintain the building when her husband is unable to tend to it.
Interview conducted by James Dolezal.
