Today on the TMR Podcast, and with a hardy welcome to our wonderful new interns, we’re excited to share the work of one of their peers, Kelly Kiehl.  Over the summer, Kelly was fortunate to have the chance to sit down for some time with author Micah Dean Hicks, discussing his take on modern fairy tales, the fantastic, and his collection of short stories, Electricity and Other Dreams.

DownloadedFileMicah Dean Hicks is an author of fables, modern fairy tales, and other kinds of magical stories. His work is published or forthcoming in over forty magazines, including Indiana Review, New Orleans Review, and New Letters. His short story collection, Electricity and Other Dreams, was published by New American Press. He is a PhD student at Florida State University, where he studies creative writing and fairy tales.
