Leon Howard
Leon Howard is Emeritus Professor of English at UCLA. He received an M.A. from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University. A former Guggenheim Fellow and Fulbright lecturer, he has written many articles on American literature. Among his books are Literature and the American Tradition and Herman Melville: A Biography.
