Melissa Studdard is the author of the poetry collection I Ate the Cosmos for Breakfast. Her short writings have appeared or been featured in the New York Times, POETRY, New England Review, Psychology Today, the Guardian, Kenyon Review, Poets & Writers, and many other print and online publications. A film by Dan Sickles of Moxie Pictures (for Motionpoems), based on the title poem from I Ate the Cosmos for Breakfast, was featured as an official selection for the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival and the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival, as well as winning the audience choice award for the REEL Poetry Film Festival.
