Naomi Plakins has litigated over one hundred civil jury and bench trials in the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Connecticut, as defense counsel in medical and engineering- related matters. She recently left her private law practice to devote full efforts to writing short stories and poems and has never looked back. She holds an MFA in writing from Columbia University. She lives in New Hope, Pennsylvania, overlooking the Delaware River. This is her first publication in a major literary journal.
