Update on Online Submissions
For most, Monday mornings are the worst experience a person can have all week. The trip from bed to coffee pot to work is sluggish and full of dread.
For me, it’s full of anticipation. I work at The Missouri Review receiving, reading, and (often) rejecting online submissions. On weekends, I abandon my post, leaving the account open to fill with new pieces of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Today I came in and found 29 new submissions in the inbox! After a moment of panic, I am full of excitement. I feel so lucky to be a part of this new venture. Not only are our average submissions each day reaching double digits, but, as Evelyn mentioned on our discussion board, we’ve just accepted an online submission from a previously unpublished author.
To all interested in submitting, I can assure you that the online submissions process is uncomplicated. Who knows, you might be our next acceptance!
